Best Glock Barrel - While Glocks are already known for their accuracy out of the box, wouldn't it be nice to dial in a little more accuracy on your Glock?
You can find many aftermarket parts for various Glock models that you can use to build your own non-Glock Glock. We think it's so cool, we'll spare you the full list of Glock parts for later and focus on one piece today - your barrel.
Best Glock Barrel
A good aftermarket barrel can provide improved accuracy, better aesthetics and support aftermarket accessories like suppressors and muzzle brakes. You can improve the performance of your Glock and personalize its look easily, simply by changing your barrel to an upgraded version.

We'll walk you through the basics of upgrading your Glock barrel, from what you need to know to choose the right one for your gun to our top tips. By knowing what you are looking for you will be able to buy your new bin with confidence.
Your first question might be, "So, why should I upgrade my Glock's barrel if it's already perfect?"
We hear you, but here's why you might want to consider moving forward with your discussion.
Stock Glock barrels use a polygon firing system that is actually more accurate than a regular firing system. This allows some lower-cost production processes to be used, and allows those savings to be passed on to customers.

That said – they do have one drawback. They cannot use lead bullets. Glock does not recommend using lead bullets in their factory barrels because lead can build up in the gun to unsafe levels. That means you're spending more on ammo that will play well with your Glock.
Of course, there are other advantages to an aftermarket barrel besides just using bullets. For one, many of them are stitched, which means they are perfect for suppressors, supports, and muzzle brakes. We love our upgrades to our Glocks, so this is a big draw for us.
Alternatively, match-grade aftermarket or "auxiliary" barrels may be more accurate than factory barrels. The gloves are more than adequate for defensive use or general shooting. For true target accuracy and getting the most out of the platform, however, something a little better than stock is needed.
Aftermarket Glock barrels are also great for enhancing the look of your gun. Let's face it, Glocks are sturdy and reliable, but they can leave something to be desired in the looks department.

If you want something that looks good, a splash of color or a slightly different finish on the pipe is a great way to add a little something.
When it comes to choosing a barrel for your Glock, there are many things to consider. After all, the point of making your own gun is that you think about your choices as, well, personal. Here are some things you might have.
First, and most important, there is capacity. Gloves are available in many calibers and it is important to find a barrel that matches your gun.
Now, while that is obvious, what is not so obvious is that some Glocks can easily be converted to different calibers with a barrel and mag change. This is often done so that the shooter can take advantage of reloads and cheaper ammo.

If you are looking to change your caliber, make sure you buy the correct barrel for your current caliber.
In general, you want to get a barrel that matches the factory length of your gun, but there are extended barrels and threads that are slightly longer for various reasons.
Threaded barrels are long enough to accommodate threads and still allow your muzzle device to extend beyond the slide. Obviously, having your suppressor in the way of your slide doesn't do you any good, so a slightly extended barrel takes care of that issue.
Some barrels, like the sixteen-inch offerings, may seem silly, but are actually intended to prevent your Glock from converting to an SBR when using certain conversion kits.
Build Your Custom Glock
That's right - there are conversion kits to turn your Glock into a pistol or carbine. Generally, to avoid a tax stamp, you will have a convertible or stock in a barrel that is longer than sixteen inches. Remember to check your local, state, and federal laws to make sure your upgraded Glock is on the right side of the line.
If you plan to run a suppressor, compensator, or mouthpiece, you need to get yourself a barrel. If you use a mouthpiece occasionally, you'll also need a thread protector to keep your threads from fraying.
Now you may not be interested in any of that, so you might as well go with an unthreaded barrel. These models are smaller and do not require the same level of protection to avoid damaging threads.
However, if you think there's even a remote chance you'll get a suppressor or fuse one day, spend the extra $15 or so and get a threaded model to begin with and save the $100+ you'd otherwise have to spend. A new barrel later.

The Glock barrel has a factory finish called Tennifer, and is widely known for its extreme durability and corrosion resistance. There are a variety of aftermarket finishes available, from titanium nitrides to stainless steel.
You can Cerakote your barrel in literally every color of the rainbow, so you have customization options available. Many of these options are available directly from manufacturers, so you don't need to pay for the actual finish.
Now that you're an expert on what to look for in an aftermarket Glock barrel, we're here to tell you which ones we recommend and why. These options are our personal preferences, and we think one of them will be the best barrel choice for you and your Glock.
Lone Wolf Distributors is probably the best known parts manufacturer after Glock. They may be the only company that makes every part you need to make a Glock without using any genuine Glock parts.
Question: Is The 4th Generation Glock 19 The Best 9mm On The Market?
However, their Glock barrel offerings go beyond a simple factory replacement barrel. Most of their barrels are stitched, giving you compression options and such. They also have a regular revolver that works well with lead bullets and doesn't cause problems there.
If you single barrel the Lone Wolf's standard spiral rifle barrel you will lose a little accuracy, but you won't notice unless you are a very talented shooter.
If this is a problem, you can always find sport grade barrels that will be more accurate than factory replacements.
Finally, you can find conversion kits on many Glock models that allow .40 S&W Glocks to fire 9mm, or 10mm to fire .45 ACP, or complete conversion slides that allow you to use .22 LR. This gives you more flexibility, and in many cases allows you to train with a smaller (and cheaper) cycle than you would normally carry.

The Lone Wolf is really a stand-alone Glock. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket and want to order multiple parts from just one manufacturer, Lone Wolf is what you need.
Every part of Lone Wolf is top quality. We've never had a bad experience (or heard of anyone), and their customer service is top notch. If you run into trouble, you'll be in good hands.
If you've ever looked into repairing your Glock, you've probably seen the name ZEV Technologies. They are probably the second most popular component manufacturer after Lone Wolf - and it's easy to see why.
They make very good (and good looking) slides and their triggers are among the most popular in the CCW world. Their components are incredibly popular among competitors who take their pistol sport seriously.

Their barrels really shine, though – often literally. ZEV makes barrels in a variety of colors and finishes, including gold-colored nitride and rainbow chroma. You can actually make a statement on the list! If you are looking to upgrade your pistol, ZEV barrels are a good place to start.
And bins don't just look good - they perform well, too. They form the front barrels, which are completely reinforced at the front of the machine. This gives you a stronger gun that will last longer.
The barrels are also smoothed over the silk duty cycle, and the finish (even the best gloss) is stronger and more corrosion resistant than the default finish on factory Glock barrels. Best of all, they are true entry barrels, so no manual installation or custom rifling is required.
KKM Precision makes barrels for competitive shooters and others interested in target practice. Sure, they look good and work well mechanically, but they're designed from the ground up to give you the most accurate performance.
